 “Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Limited” welcomes your dog(s) and Cat(s) into our facility and trust they will enjoy their stay. In leaving your pet with us, you agree to the terms and conditions below.  These terms and conditions are designed to ensure the welfare, safety and security of all parties involved. Before signing, please read carefully.”

 

GENERAL

Drops offs and pickups are undertaken during our opening hours

Monday to Friday: strictly between 8am -11am and 4pm – 6pm

Saturday 8am - 10am and 4pm – 6pm

Sunday 4pm-6pm

Pets who are attending for the first time must be dropped off 30 minutes before closing to allow for administration and discussion regarding your pet i.e. 10.30am or 5.30pm

Please note we cannot accommodate first time drop-offs at 11am or 6pm due to timed kennel management commitments.

Early drop-offs or pick-ups outside of normal trading hours may be available BY ARRANGEMENT ONLY and will incur a $25 fee

 

Christmas hours

Our Christmas opening times are different to our normal opening times

24th of December: Open 8am – 11am. Last Christmas check-ins by 11am

WE WILL BE CLOSED from 11am on the 24th of December to 8am on the 27th of December.

 

WE WILL BE CLOSED on the 1st and 2nd of January 2025

 

Early pick-ups: We cannot accommodate early pickups between 24th and 27th of December 2024 or on the 1st and 2nd of January 2025. Outside of these dates you are welcome to choose to pick your pet up early, however you will be charged for the entirety of your confirmed booking.

 

 

CHARGES FOR DOGS

Fees are charged $20.00 per day and $10 for night and will start on the day of arrival, regardless of the time of drop off. Pickups before 11am will not incur a charge for that day. Pickups at the end of the day will be charged the days rate i.e. $20

10% discount on second dog sharing a kennel

5% discount on long stays over 21 Days

 

CHARGES FOR CATS

$18.00 per cat per day

5% discount on stays over 21 Days

 

Payment

Payment is required in full upon collection. We accept Eftpos, Cash, or bank transfer before your dog’s stay. On leaving my pet with Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Ltd, I agree that I have the fees to pay/cover the cost for the duration of time my pet has been in the kennels and all due fees will be paid in full on collecting my pet.

 

We reserve the right to charge for all days booked, including unused days if your Dog/Cat is picked up before the due date of departure during peak seasons.

 

Cancellation fees do not apply except for peak periods eg Christmas in which a nonrefundable 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

You can cancel any other bookings without charge.

 

Public holidays Surcharge per pet $5.00

 

Doggie Daycare

Doggie Daycare is available Monday to Saturday. During peak periods we do not run doggy daycare i.e. public holidays and Sundays, Christmas/New Year through to mid-January and some school holidays. Please call us to check availability during these times.

The cost of doggie daycare is $20 per dog 

Arrival & Collection Health & Safety

Pet owners must exercise caution and care whilst on our property and extend the same courtesy to other pet owners, especially when they are operating their vehicles to avoid injury and/or damage to other vehicles. It is the individual's responsibility to cover any costs for damages.

When leaving or arriving at the Kennels please drive slowly and with due care as owners may be leaving/arriving with pets.

All dogs must be on leads and all cats must be crated when arriving and leaving Goodwood kennels.

 

It is the owner’s responsibility to have their dog under control and on a lead until handed over to staff on arrival.

In the interest of safety, dogs are not to be unleashed whilst attending the property.

If you need help to bring your pet(s) in or out, please come to the office for a staff member to assist.

 

Alternative collection person

You must notify us if anyone else intends to collect your pet on your behalf and must contact us in person to validate the pick-up. We reserve the right to refuse pick up from any other person where it has not been validated by you in this way.

 

Office Safety

Strictly one pet’s owner[s] allowed in the office at any time.

In the interest of safety, (some pets can be nervous around other pets or people,) only the owner[s] of the pet arriving or being collected are allowed in the office at any one time.

We kindly ask pet owners to wait in the car with their pet until it is their turn during busy times.

Please always seek clearance from staff to bring your pet into the office.

 

Restricted Area

Due to dogs being moved around within the kennels, under no circumstance are members of the public [clients] allowed beyond the office without permission.

 

Vaccinations and health

I (the owner) confirm to Goodwood Kennels and Cattery, that I am the legal owner of my dog/cat; and that my dog/cat has not been exposed to canine or feline infectious respiratory disease, parvo, lepto or distemper feline aids within the past thirty (30) days and that my dog/Cat has been vaccinated against Kennel Cough and Dhppi indicated by the records presented to Goodwood Kennels and Cattery.

If my pet is showing any signs of rough behaviour or illness, including but not limited to; coughing, sneezing, runny eyes, warts, or vomiting, I will not bring my pet into Goodwood Kennels and Cattery

I will disclose any recent surgeries and not bring my pet(s) into Goodwood Kennels and Cattery while still having stitches in, or in a head cone.

I give permission for Goodwood Kennels and Cattery to contact my pet’s Vet Clinic and discuss any health-related matters.

I understand that in the event Goodwood Kennels and Cattery need to take my pet(s) to a vet, that there will be an additional charge per minute of time for the time spent.

I understand Goodwood Kennels and Cattery my pet(s) must be treated for fleas, ticks and worms before attending Goodwood Kennels and Cattery. If fleas, ticks or worms are present on the pet(s), Goodwood Kennels and Cattery reserve the right to have your pet treated by the vet(s) and the owner will be charged accordingly.

 

Administration of Medication

If your pet requires the administration of medication, a small charge of $1 per dose will apply for the dispensing of medication during their stay.

We require meds to be clearly labelled and written instructions given. In the case of ½ or ¼ tablets please provide the tablets pre-cut.

 

Behaviour - Temperament & Suitability Assessment

At Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Ltd, we endeavour to consider staff safety as a priority. Therefore, we are unable to accept pets that are aggressive towards humans. Upon booking, you will be asked about the temperament of your pet towards humans. Your response must be a truthful declaration to the best of your knowledge. You may need to make us aware of past behaviours your pet may have exhibited before you owning him/her. If your dog has ever bitten anyone [human], you must inform us.

An initial temperament & suitability assessment will be carried out on their first visit. If any pet displays aggression/behaviour that is cause for concern, the owner will be contacted to collect the pet or arrange collection.

 

All dogs are assigned an individual sleeping area overnight. However, dogs from the same family can share if the owner wishes them to do so. If this is requested by the owner and deemed, they are safe overnight, we will sleep them together. However, we do not accept any responsibility for any negative/harmful behaviour which may occur between them. This also applies if sharing an outdoor exercise yard alone together.

Please advise us if your dog would prefer a quiet space on their own whilst boarding with us.

 

You must inform us if your dog is an escape artist or climber. Where this is the case, an offer of daycare/boarding may be declined.

All reasonable housing and escape mitigation options are always considered. However, Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Ltd does not accept responsibility for any escapes and/or any harm that may occur to the dog. The owner acknowledges this at the owner's own risk. 

I understand that the mixing of dogs with other dogs and cats with other cats, where agreed with the owner, holds a level of risk. 

I accept that Goodwood kennels and Cattery ltd will not be liable for any injuries or illnesses.  

I accept that I will be liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from any injuries caused by my dog(s) / cat. This includes my pet harming other pets or humans, even accidentally, and the resulting medical bills.

Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Ltd makes all reasonable efforts to prevent escape. However, If your dog(s) can jump the external fencing Goodwood Kennels and Cattery accepts no responsibility.

I have correctly disclosed to Goodwood Kennels and Cattery all relevant information regarding my pet’s medical and behavioural history and understand it is my responsibility to keep Goodwood Kennels and Cattery informed of any changes to my pets’ behaviour or health in the future, including if my pet(s) is diagnosed with an infectious disease.

I waive the right to any claim against Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Ltd, its employees and its representatives.

I agree that Goodwood Kennels and Cattery will not be liable for any consequential damages.

I agree that if a medical problem develops while my dog(s)/Cat(s) is in the care of Goodwood Kennels and Cattery, I authorise Goodwood Kennels and Cattery to do whatever they believe is necessary for the safety, health and well-being of my dog(s)/cat(s) and I agree to reimburse any VET and care/transportation bills incurred by Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Staff.

Property

All bedding is provided, however, if you do choose to bring any belongings, eg beds, blankets, toys etc…please label these clearly with your pets full name. We will do our best to ensure these are returned but cannot take responsibility for any lost, damaged, or soiled items.

Food

If you wish your pet to have their food, please provide it within a sealed container/packaging and label it with your pet’s full name and feeding instructions.

Please only provide enough food for your pets stay and a few extra feeds in case of a delay as space during busy times can be limited.

You must identify any reactions and/or allergies that your pet may have to certain foods.

Social Media

We take and use photos for social media and marketing purposes. If you do not wish your pets photograph to be used for this purpose, please advise us.

Abandoned Dogs

Pets that are not claimed within 14 days after due pick-up date and no communication has been made by the owners. After efforts by the proprietors have proven unsuccessful, the pet will be classed as abandoned. Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Ltd, have the right to rehome the pet as we see appropriate. This shall not release you, the owner, from liability for any unpaid fees or charges

I understand that Goodwood Kennels and Cattery have the right to refuse cats over the age of six months that have not been desexed. Stitches must have been removed/completely dissolved before attendance.

 

On Heat  

Bitches in season will not be accepted for boarding or daycare. If you have an entire female, you must provide an emergency contact to collect your dog immediately, should it come in heat while at the kennels.

We do accept bitches that are NOT spayed. All reasonable efforts will be made to ensure no mating occurs. We cannot accept responsibility for accidental pregnancies occurring.

Entire male dogs are accepted for boarding on a case-by-case basis, they may be housed away from other dogs. Mixing of entire males with other dogs will be at our discretion.

 

Privacy Policy

All client details are for Goodwood Kennels and Cattery Ltd purposes only. No personal information will be divulged to any other party.

 I waive the right to any claim against Goodwood Kennels and Cattery, its employees and its representatives.
